Black 'N' Blue 2019

Michigan's largest mixed scrimmage is back for the 9th annual Black 'n' Blue, hosted by East Lansing Roller Derby. A 6-8 team women's bracket, 2 men's games (1 Sat - 1 Sun) and 1 all-gender game (Sat Evening) are scheduled to take place on Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday (11/30) and Sunday (12/1).

Spectator tickets will be available day of only. No presale available.
$15 one day / $25 weekend pass
Skater registration cost is $50

FAQ:
Black'n'Blue weekend tournament adheres to WFTDA's gender statement when referring to registration, and otherwise. Please see notice: https://wftda.com/wftda-gender-statement
Skaters who registered under "WFTDA" will play in the Women's bouts. Skater who registered under "MRDA" will play in the Men's bouts.

What/when/how regarding the all gender scrim?
All gender scrimmage sign up takes place on Saturday evening. Disclaimer, this scrimmage is a "roller-con"-esque scrimmage. Think "after-dark" announcing, silly team names, etc. If you are not comfortable officiating for this scrimmage, there will be a spot in officiating sign ups to clarify this. Skater sign ups happen DAY OF. All MRDA registered skaters are reserved a spot for this game. Skaters interested in participating should bring black and white scrimmage shirts.

You do not have to book for all 3 nights, but this rate is available for each night. To book you room, call in to Best Western and request the group rate for East Lansing Roller Derby (Ali Jahr). A link should also be available shortly (I will provide as soon as I hear back from hotel).
