CONTENDERS CUP – EVENT DETAILS

The Dallas Derby Devils will host the inaugural Contenders Cup, an unofficial WFTDA Division 2 tournament, taking place July 31 through August 2 at NYTEX Sports Centre.

The Contenders Cup is designed to expand competitive opportunities and provide meaningful tournament play for teams just outside of the WFTDA Regional Tournament qualification line.

Eligibility:
Invitations will be extended to the next 13 teams in the WFTDA South Region following the April rankings and Regional Tournament cutoff. If teams are unable to attend, invitations may roll down to the next highest-ranked eligible teams.

This event serves as a pilot tournament to explore a Division 2 structure within WFTDA and to highlight the depth of competition across the region.

Los Dallas Derby Devils serán anfitriones de la inaugural Contenders Cup, un torneo no oficial de la División 2 de WFTDA, que se llevará a cabo del 31 de julio al 2 de agosto en el NYTEX Sports Centre.

La Contenders Cup está diseñada para ampliar las oportunidades competitivas y ofrecer un torneo significativo para equipos que se encuentran justo fuera de la línea de clasificación del Torneo Regional de WFTDA.

Elegibilidad:
Las invitaciones se extenderán a los siguientes 13 equipos en la Región Sur de WFTDA, según la clasificación de abril y el corte del Torneo Regional. Si algunos equipos no pueden asistir, las invitaciones podrán extenderse a los siguientes equipos elegibles mejor clasificados.

Este evento funciona como un torneo piloto para explorar una estructura de División 2 dentro de WFTDA y destacar la profundidad competitiva en toda la región.
